Aztec Game Lab

Starting my sophomore year, I participated in SDSU's Aztec Game Lab (AGL). My journey with AGL was on pause due to COVID, but when I was able to join them in their Winter 2021 Game Jam, I had an amazing time designing my first game. I then joined their level design team and helped design three levels of their Spring 2021 Long Term Game (LTG), "Kappi", which was my first time working with a game design team and my first time building levels in Unity. I then become the Vice President of AGL for the 2021-2022 school year and assisted with transitioning our club back in person. We held multiple workshops during the Fall 2021 semester to help students get back up to speed on their particular skills for categories such as art, audio, programming, and level design. We then started to plan our next LTG for Spring 2022 which we called "Pestilence". For this game, I led our leadership in the initial game design process and was in charge of our club's level design team. Afterward, I was elected President of the club for the 2022-2023 school year and continued to guide our leadership team into another fall semester of game development workshops. Beginning in November 2022, we will start planning for our LTG #7 which will be released in May 2023.
