Pestilence

Pestilence was the first 3D game that I worked on. It was also my first game as the level design team lead for Aztec Game Lab. Being a part of leadership made this game development cycle very different from Kappi.

I designed the entire 1st level of Pestilence (the city level) and then designed the upper floor of the last level (the cathedral).

Having to delegate work to my team and manage them was a daunting task but I think the result was amazing. In this game, I was able to explore one of my favorite level design techniques: environmental storytelling. Horror was also a genre I was not too familiar with developing so learning how to create spooky atmospheres was fun.
